Liquid Carbon Dioxide

Facts about Liquid Carbon Dioxide

Carbon dioxide is mainly used in gaseous form.
It is a colourless and virtually odourless gas but can cause the nose to sting.

It is obtained industrially by cracking hydrocarbon gases or as a by-product of ammonia production.

Carbon dioxide does not support life and is toxic at high concentrations. Like nitrogen and argon, carbon dioxide is capable of causing an oxygen-depleted atmosphere with the risk of asphyxiation. For this reason always use this product in a well-ventilated area as carbon dioxide is heavier than air.
