Oxygen leaks from equipment can automatically lead to oxygen enrichment.
All equipment, for instance piping and hose connections, should be properly fitted. Hoses and other equipment should be kept leak-tight and be protected from damage. All maintenance and repair work should be carried out by experienced and fully skilled personnel.
When the work period is over the piped supply stop valve must be turned off, in order to avoid possible leakage in the time between the end of one working period and the beginning of the next.
To help ensure that this risk is reduced, BOC Cryospeed carry out routine maintenance on all BOC rented storage vessels to comply with Pressure Systems Safety Regulation 2000.
If you currently own your storage vessel, BOC Cryospeed can also provide a maintenance package,BOC Cryocare, to help you meet your Pressure Systems Safety Regulation 2000 responsibilities.
It is recommended that pressurised oxygen vessels always be stored in a secure area outside. BOC Cryospeed can offer advice on appropriate storage locations and oxygen enrichment monitors.
